Located in the heart of Amman, Jordan, Sabra Metals has built a strong reputation as a trusted manufacturer and supplier of high-performance alloys. We take particular pride in our expertise with A286 bar and rod, a superalloy we provide with a commitment to quality and reliability. Our team understands the demanding environments your projects face, which is why we ensure our A286 products meet the highest standards, offering a robust solution for applications where strength and durability at elevated temperatures are absolutely essential.
The excellent performance of A286 stems from its unique iron-nickel-chromium composition, enhanced with key additions of molybdenum, titanium, and aluminum. This specific recipe gives the material remarkable mechanical properties, including high tensile strength and outstanding resistance to creep, which is the tendency to slowly deform under stress. Even when exposed to intense heat up to 1300°F (approximately 700°C), it maintains its integrity far better than conventional stainless steels, while also offering good toughness for demanding mechanical applications.

A286 bars are available in various sizes, typically ranging from 1/8" to 12" in diameter. Common finishes include hot-rolled, cold-drawn, polished, and ground, depending on the supplier.
A286 alloy, a high-strength, corrosion-resistant steel, can be susceptible to galvanic corrosion when in contact with more electropositive metals, particularly in saline or corrosive environments. Proper isolation is recommended.
Yes, A286 bar can be welded using appropriate techniques, such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) or gas metal arc welding (GMAW), with proper preheating and post-weld heat treatment to avoid cracking.
This combination of strength and heat resistance makes A286 bar and rod invaluable in some of the most challenging industries. You will commonly find it machined into critical components for jet engines and gas turbines, such as fasteners, turbine blades, and afterburner parts. Beyond aerospace, it’s also essential for high-temperature fixtures, automotive turbochargers, and nuclear engineering applications. Essentially, whenever a project calls for a material that won’t back down under extreme pressure and heat, A286 provides the reliable solution that engineers and manufacturers count on.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
