Sabra Metals is in Amman, Jordan, but this company deals in the design and supply of high-performance alloys. It comes in bars or rods. Through many years’ experience in an industry, it guarantees high-quality deliveries that match such quality standards of production. A notable characteristic of Haynes 617 is its impressive resistance to both oxidation and corrosion at high-temperature conditions for a variety of applications, namely in aerospace power generation, as well as for chemical processing use. Sabra Metals ensures that Haynes 617 bars and rods are precision manufactured and have reliable supply; custom sizes and grades are provided according to the requirements of clients.
Haynes 617 bar and rod is a high-performance alloy, for high-temperature applications especially in gas turbines and other critical components. The alloy is primarily composed of Nickel 50-60%, Chromium 12-22%, Cobalt 12-17%, Molybdenum 8-10%, Iron 2-4%, Tungsten 2-3% and traceable Silicon, Boron, Carbon, etc. This alloy provides excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion along with outstanding mechanical properties at high temperatures. Its tensile strength is between 105 ksi (725 MPa) at room temperature and 45 ksi (310 MPa) at 2200°F (1200°C). Haynes 617 has also good weldability and thermal-fatigue crack resistance.
Yes, Haynes 617 rods can be customized in both size and length according to specific requirements. Customization is available through manufacturers or suppliers who offer tailored solutions.
Haynes 617 bars and rods offer excellent performance in high-temperature environments, with outstanding oxidation and corrosion resistance, maintaining strength and stability up to 1,250°C (2,300°F), making them ideal for aerospace and industrial applications.
To maintain Haynes 617 bars, avoid exposure to high temperatures for extended periods, regularly clean with non-abrasive methods, and inspect for corrosion or wear to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
The 617 bars and rods have great resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and creep due to high temperature. Such alloy is usually utilized in the aerospace, power generation, and chemical processing industries. Often, the presence of such alloy is seen in high-stress parts, turbine engines, combustors, etc. Haynes 617 is also used in heat exchangers, furnace components, and as a material for specialized equipment in the petrochemical sector. Its excellent strength and resistance to thermal fatigue allow it to perform well in environments with fluctuating temperatures and corrosive conditions.
